Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place

After receiving Anberlin’s debut album “Blueprints for the Black Market” back in 2003, I remember thinking to myself how much those songs resonated with me. At the time, there was a lot of emotion that these underground sensation acts put into their music. For some reason, Anberlin were able to convey that emotion much better than most other bands. At times it felt like their songs really did mean something with singer Stephen Christian.

Miniature Tigers

Hmm, where should we start here? The part where Miniature Tigers stay up all night with Neon Indian, fine-tuning the laser-like synths of their new single, “Gold Skull?” Yeah, that sounds about right. “I won’t forget that experience,” says frontman Charlie Brand. “I remember the sun coming up and everyone in the room singing along.

Building Rome

Building Rome has been touted as "big-stage ready, tour-bus traveling, hotel-trashing arena rock." It's no wonder, given their new album, Nightmare, produced by Steven Haigler, has been reviewed as "12 tracks of shrewdly crafted emo pop that could easily rival any expensive major-label product." Jon Heisserer's versatile vocal prowess backed up with killer guitar riffs and catchy hooks have helped build the band's reputation worldwide. Based out of St.

Bang

"Give up the whole damn thing is over!" First line of this album catches you with strumming, ambient guitar. The first song sets the mood of the entire album; joyous, smooth, inspiring. Damn Things Over is the perfect intro to the album. Then the single of the album "Bang", which picks up the pace with Van Vleet's undeniable skill to belt, backed by picked guitar and distorted bass. Strangers really showcases what these guys are all about, creating the perfect atmosphere.
