OCT 24 – Say Anything has announced that bassist Adam T. Siska [ex-The Academy Is…] has officially joined the band. Former Say Anything bassist, Alex Kent, parted ways with the band last year, with The Starting Line/Person L’s Kenny Vasoli filling in temporarily on tours."Having parted much more than amicably with Alex last year (he's still a dear friend), we knew it would be very difficult to find someone who can fill his shoes on both a professional and personal level, but we are so lucky that Adam happened to be available at exactly the right time, and somehow we seem to have ended up with both,” states Say Anything front man, Max Bemis.“I couldn't be more excited to become a member of Say Anything. I have been a fan of the band since the release of the debut album, and got to know them well while on tour during the summer of 2008,” adds Siska. “When I spoke to Max about joining, there was no doubt in my mind that this is a band that I believe in and want to put my heart into. I look forward to seeing all of you at shows very soon!”Bemis concludes, “This is a guy who is in a band for all the right reasons: a love for playing his instrument and a passion for music. We're fortunate that Adam happens to deem our music worthy of being the focus of that passion and are so excited to have such an awesome new member of Say Anything."In a recent interview with Alternative Press, Bemis revealed that the title of Say Anything’s forthcoming album will be Anarchy, My Dear. The full-length album will be released by Equal Vision Records in early 2012. This winter, Bemis will head out on a short solo, headlining tour with wife and Eisley vocalist/guitarist Sherri DuPree-Bemis. All upcoming solo tour dates can be seen below. Max Bemis Solo Tour w/Sherri DuPree-BemisNov 30 Boston, MA @ Brighton Music HallDec 01 Hamden, CT @ The SpaceDec 02 Brooklyn, NY @ The Bell HouseDec 03 West Chester, PA @ The NoteDec 04 Baltimore, MD @ OttobarDec 06 Chapel Hill, NC @ Local 506Dec 07 West Columbia, SC @ New Brookland TavernDec 09 Atlanta, GA @ Masquerade - DownstairsDec 10 Orlando, FL @ The SocialDec 11 Tampa, FL @ The OrpheumDec 13 Baton Rouge, LA @ Spanish MoonDec 14 Houston, TX @ Warehouse Live StudioDec 15 Corpus Christi, TX @ House of RockDec 16 San Antonio, TX @ White Rabbit

Marc, thank you man. I know harsh reviews sometimes really piss people off, but I think honesty is always the best policy. It sucks, but Dredg have really lost it.

Dude you are one of those people that would find a way to appreciate the album even if it was made up of collaborations with Brittany Spears. I think it is your opinion that is irrelevant. The person that wrote this review knows EXACTLY what dredg is about.

I was so disappointed with this album. When I heard that there was a new album coming out, I thought it was going to sound something like the Pariah, the Parrot, the Delusion because that album was different enough from the previous ones as it was, but it was still amazing. The very first song of "Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy"(just typing that makes me cringe) pretty much sums up the entire album. Ironically enough, it talks about how people these days are following the most recent trends and that we might as well accept it. This album is just that; a band attempting to follow the latest trends, yet they’re trying to tell us to accept it? Sorry, I will not. Every one of their previous albums have been unique, have portrayed some sort of art through incredible lyrics and composing. There was absolutely nothing similar to the other albums in this one; no slide guitar, no sick base lines, and, believe it or not, no instrumentals). If you’re a true Dredg fan and actually understand what their music is about, you’ll understand what I'm talking about.

There’s a couple decent songs on the album (the Thought of Losing You and the Ornament, due to the fact that it was the only thing that linked this album with any previous one but its lyrics were still very corny and forced). The rest of the album is just corny lyrics, dragging verses, and underwhelming courses in an attempt to make some kind of album that the modern pop-whore would listen to.

I was really looking forward to this new album but unfortunately I'll probably never listen to it again. I hope Dredg comes up with a new album fast that can make up for this one. Until then, I'll gladly stick to their old stuff.

Just so you know, I've been a fan of Dredg since El Cielo. Sorry you didn't agree on this new one. I've spoken with quite a few of my friends who are diehard Dredg fans and we're all on the same page.

So far Fleet Foxes and Colin Stetson are the run-away albums of the year-to-date but without a doubt this will compete and if history serves as judge, it will stand atop the mountain come December, ha!
